Usually pharmacists are able to extend chronic medications for a short period of time to give you enough time to see the physician.
Short-term medications such as antibiotics and painkillers are usually not qualified for this service, but please ask the pharmacists to see if the Minor Ailment service may be more suitable for you in this case
The service itself is free of charge, the only cost are the normal prescription charges
Unfortunately, we are not able to guarantee a response time as once the request is communicated to your doctor, it depends entirely on the doctor’s office regarding when and how they will respond, and we have no control over that.
If you have specific requests that are highly complex or have more urgent issues, please contact your doctor’s office directly
Usually we will extend your prescriptions from only a few days at a time (e.g. if you only have a few days gap until you can see your doctor), up to a few months at a time (e.g. in the case of travelling).
The goal of this service is to give you enough of your chronic medications to make sure you do not run out of medications but not so much quantity that it delays your followup with your primary care provider
We offer prescription and non-prescription strength compression stockings at various styles and sizes, talk to our pharmacy staff for more details
